Gap Civil Old Time Band is based in Sparta, North Carolina, with Caroline Beverley on guitar, Chris Johnson on banjo, and Lucas Pasley on fiddle. Their music is rooted in the traditions of their region, a diamond-shaped area extending from Sparta, Lowgap, Galax, to Whitetop. They formed the band to play in the local square dance, the Alleghany Jubilee, but they play for other dances and concerts within the region and fiddlers conventions.
